Missouri Wayne County Tax Credit Opportunity

Keep Your Tax Dollars in Wayne County: Support Our Seniors with a 70% State Tax Credit

Instead of sending your state tax dollars to Jefferson City, you can reinvest them right here at home.
Through the Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), local businesses, farm owners, and landlords can redirect their Missouri tax liability to the Wayne County Nutrition Center and receive a 70% Missouri State Tax Credit.

Why Your Support Is Critical

The Wayne County Nutrition Center (operated by the Williamsville Area Association of Senior Citizens, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) is dedicated to ensuring our local seniors never go hungry.

  • Hot & Frozen Meals: We deliver hot meals to qualified seniors in town and frozen meals to outlying rural areas, meeting strict USDA dietary standards.

  • Vital Fellowship: Our dining room provides a place to connect; for many, this is the only nutritious meal they receive all day.

  • Essential Services: In partnership with the SEMO Food Bank, we distribute monthly commodity staple boxes and assist seniors in accessing critical local services.

While we receive partial funding through Medicaid and Aging Matters, these programs do not cover basic operating costs. We operate on a shoestring budget. Your contribution funds critical equipment—such as a replacement meal-delivery vehicle, kitchen upgrades, and essential staffing—to keep our wheels turning.

A tax credit is not a simple deduction—it directly lowers your state tax bill dollar-for-dollar. In addition, you may also qualify for federal charitable deductions (consult your CPA).

How the 70% Tax Credit Works

While the form can be downloaded as a fillable PDF from the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the submission process itself must be handled physically. Just hand the completed form to one of our team members.

Credits carry forward: If you cannot use your entire credit in the year of your donation, Missouri allows you up to 5 years to use the remaining balance.
